I spotted this floral cardigan at Target and it immediately reminded me of something:
Merona® Essential Cardigan Sweater - Yellow - $15.00 (Orig. $22.99)
This sweater was one of my favorite things at J.Crew back in Spring 2009:
It was originally $88. Old Navy had a similar sweater at the time, but the ON version's yellow was a bit too pastel for my taste.
What do you think of the target version? Is it something you would wear? Leave your thoughts below.

Totally love it but I will say the last two Merona sweaters I've gotten have been super poor quality. They used to last a long time but they barely last a few wears now! Buyer beware.... you get what you pay for I guess! :)
ReplyDeleteo LOVE this sweater! xoxo jcd
ReplyDeleteI think what "makes" the jcrew sweater is the vibrant yellow color.
ReplyDeleteFirst, I love your blog. I have been following it for a while but have never commented.
ReplyDeleteSecond, I bought this cardigan (paid full price unfortunately) and I love it! I get so many compliments on in. Believe me it looks so much better in person and is easy to mix and match with.
@lisa elizabeth - Thanks for taking the time to comment! And I am so glad to hear a positive review.
ReplyDeleteThanks again, and I hope to hear from you again,
Madeline
I think I like the J Crew one a little bit more, but if I really wanted it, I'd go with the Target because I can't afford J. Crew YET =]
ReplyDeleteJust Better Together is having 2 giveaways!
the target one would be a much better sell if it was worn better on the model.
ReplyDeleteThe Target cardi is a miss in my book. The length of the body and sleeves are too long giving it a matronly feel. And the color is not vibrant enough. Not on my shopping list.
ReplyDeleteits cute but the J Crew one is so punchy, the color makes the sweater! I am interested in seeing this William Rast for Target line. Have you found any sneek peeks?
ReplyDeletehmmm... I agree - i Dont think the target one is bright enough.
ReplyDeleteHowever that being said .. its not worn in the way i wanted it - i wouldn't have worn it buttoned up - but open like the other model
SO its a probable no
Good spot however haha!
@Heidi Jo- You are totally right. Why are Target's stock photos so freaking terrible? If I had my way I would overhaul the entire apparel section of target.com, they are doing it all wrong.
ReplyDeleteOf course the J.Crew sweater has better styling but honestly I don't like the color (or any of the other really bright colors they featured in that line). So, I would say I like the Target one more.
