Pantone Color Forecast Fall 2010 {Endive + Golden Yellow}

Every fashion week, Pantone surveys the designers of NY fashion week to identify the 10 most directional colors. You can read their full report here. I am planning to do a series on the colors, two at a time. Here's the first peak of the in colors of Fall 2010:

Here are my reasonable finds in these color families:

1 - V-Neck Short Sleeve Braided Embroidery Top - Macy's - $24.00
2 - Shimmery Scoopneck Tank - Charlotte Russe - $10.00
3 - ELLE Ruffled Tunic - Kohls - $19.99 (Orig. $34.00)
4 - Tribal Print Ruched V-Neck T-Shirt - Calvin Klein - $19.99 (Orig. $39.00)
5 - Simple Scoop Neck Tee - Forever 21 - $5.50

What do you guys think of these colors to come? Will you be jumping on the bandwagon, or standing by? Leave a comment.

Happy Shopping.

  1. I definitely like the golden yellow...but I would be more likely to use it in things like handbags and shoes instead of my clothes.

  3. I love green, so I could see myself wearing the endive. I don't think I could pull off the golden yellow myself, though.

  4. I would love the golden yellow in something that's an accessory, rather than a shirt/skirt/pants. The endive looks like it could have a lot of awesome possibilities in the flowy/ruffle world. It reminds me of a semi-precious stone, like polished serpentine. Count me in!

    Is it just me or has it been a while since a pale color has gotten center stage? I feel like everything's been turquoise/orange/eggplant/navy for a while now. My wardrobe needs some softening up. :)

  5. You guys make a good point. Many skin tones may not pull off the golden yellow so well. Accessories would be a great way to pull it in to your wardrobe.

    I love the endive for clothing though. I think it's great. (I especially like the ruffle top I found).

    @Phoebe I too am missing the subtleties of subdued colors, I am excited to introduce those into my wardrobe again.

  6. Having just bought a blouse in the golden yellow, wore it and got tons of compliments, am head over heels about that color especially!
